After delivering the first batch of electric buses to Fujian Auto Transportation Co., Ltd. last year, King Long recently made another delivery of 150 electric buses to the carrier. According to sources, the delivery of this batch of electric buses is the largest purchase of new energy buses ever made by Fujian Province. In October this year, King Long electric buses were designated as official carriers for China’s First Youth Games which was held in Fuzhou. During such a high-profile event, King Long provided transport services for over 40,000 passengers. Its zero-emission and zero-pollution standards fully demonstrate the organizing committee’s commitment to holding a green sport event. In preparation for the Youth Games, Fuzhou has made great efforts to put more green vehicles on its road. Currently, the city boasts a total number of 800 electric buses, becoming one of the role models across China in popularizing electric buses.

Unanimously coated in light blue color, the electric buses newly sent to Minyun Public Transport are equipped with high quality ATL lithium-ion batteries. They are capable of driving 220 km continuously with a quality guarantee of eight years. In addition, their ICS intelligent cooling control system and electronic fans can adjust the fan speed and operation mode according to the temperatures. It is also worth mentioning that the "King Wings" Telematics Platform mounted on the vehicle can monitor the operation status of King Long electric buses in real time, helping the bus maker provide more timely after-sale services to its customers.

At the manufacturing base of King Long, some electric buses have already been off the production line and are going through the final checkups before heading off to their operators. According to the bus maker, workers are now working against the clock to ensure the smooth delivery of the vehicles to Minyun Public Transport.

Set up in March 2010, Minyun Public Transport is the first carrier in Fujian Province which introduced new energy vehicles, including LNG, plug-in hybrid and electric buses. Thanks to its commitment to promoting the Green Travel concept among the general public, it has already gained a fame of a pioneer in Fujian transportation field.

On December 26 last year, China 1,000 KV Zhejiang North-Fuzhou Ultra High Voltage AC Transmission Project was officially put into use. Thanks to its favorable geographic location plus the introduction of some major clean energy projects, Fujian has been undergoing a transformation from a province with little energy resources to a province boasting competitive strengths in the application of clean energies. It is estimated that the operation of 100 electric buses will cut carbon emissions by 13,000 tons every year. Given this, it is believed that the arrival of the 150 King Long electric buses will further deepen the ties between the bus maker and the carrier. Their operation in Fuzhou city will make significant contributions to a cleaner environment in the provincial capital.
