In response to Chinese government’s One-Belt and One-Road development initiative, Yutong, one of China’s leading bus makers boasting formidable competitiveness, is now fully confident to project a brand new image of Chinese brands on the global stage.

What is secret behind Yutong’s impressive achievements? According to Tang Yuxiang, Yutong’s president, “our company’s success not only lies in our solid knowledge of the overseas market, but also our high quality and highly reliable products. More importantly, our unparalleled services are also responsible for our rising popularity in the overseas market.”

For all these years, Yutong has always held the view that bus sales can only be achieved after the arrival of good services. Based on such a philosophy, the bus maker never rushed to sell its vehicles in the first place. Take the European market for example, Yutong first went there in 2004. Soon, its customer-oriented service featuring timely and professional repair and spare parts provision won the hearts of many European customers. When talking about Yutong, Emond, General Manager of the UK-based MCH Corp., immediately raised his thumb, saying “we can always count on our Yutong buses. They are highly reliable. More importantly, the bus maker always provides unparalleled after-sales services without any delay.”

Li Gaopeng, head of Yutong Technological Research Institute, reveals that “our annual expenditure on research and development accounts for at least 3% of our sales revenue. We believe that independent technological innovations are the key to our drive to conquer the global market.” In 2004, Yutong Technological Research Institute was listed as one of the national-level technological innovation centers. In 2009, the bus maker established China’s first whole-vehicle cathode electrophoresis automatic production line. In 2014, National Electric bus Electric Control and Safety Engineering & Technological Research Center opened in Yutong. In August this year, the world’s first driverless bus, developed by Yutong, went on the road and successfully finished its trial operation.

Not long ago, Yutong was officially recognized as the main supplier of new energy buses in France.
