On December 26, the second electric BRT route was officially opened in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. After 17 days of trial operation, the 36 electric buses, all of which are manufactured by Youngman, are put into official operation. It is expected that the new environmentally friendly bus fleet will provide more travel convenience for the local citizens. According to the Executive Vice-Mayor of Jinhua City, the No.2 BRT Line is initiated to call for more public servants to use public transport to commute. With zero-emission standards, Youngman buses, boasting internationally competitive quality, have become the pride of the city. With its funds raised directly from the public, the operation of the BRT Line 2 is the first of its kind across the nation. Currently, BRT Line 2 has ushered in a new round of urban construction along its way. Compared with subway, BRT lines are much lower in costs. Thanks to this, the city is planning to open BRT Line 3 and Line 4 in the near future in the hope that it will provide a new public transport development model for the whole nation.
At 8 am in the morning, those electric buses coated in skyblue color drove out of the terminal, shouldering heavy transportation tasks in the urban areas of the city. All of them are Youngman electric JNP6123BEV and four of them are 18 meters in length. Starting from Binghong Xingcheng in the west of the city, these buses stop at 21 stations in between, including Binghong West Road, Jinxing North Street, Jinqu Road, Liyu Road, Liyu East Road, Second Ring East Road, Jinou Road, etc. With a total distance of 25 kilometers, the line stops at Jinhua Railway South Station. It is revealed that the average distance of two stations is 1.08 kilometers.
Executive Vice-Mayor of Jinhua City inspects BRT Line 2 on the First Day of its Operation
Since 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Youngman has been committed to the development and production of electric buses for the high-end market. Boasting rich R&D and operation experience in the field of electric buses, the bus maker is now among the top tier bus brands in the BRT market. Its Future Star series buses, which are now the company"s fist products, are highly competitive in the following six areas. First, the bus can fully meet the operational demands after being recharged for five to ten minutes. Second, the recharging facilities are mounted at bus stations, which can help bus operators significantly cut construction costs. Third, its intelligent recharging process is wholly controlled by machines and does not require extra workers. Fourth, the bus provides much more spacious room for passengers and is capable of loading more passengers as well. Fifth, the vehicle has succeeded in cutting its own weight, and thus it achieves higher energy efficiency. Sixth, Youngman batteries for vehicles are highly reliable. Plus, the company offers ten-year quality guarantee. Currently, Youngman electric fast recharging mode has been widely used in Beijing, Lanzhou, Jinhua, Wenzhou, Zhanjiang, and Jiangmen, etc. Bus operators all speak highly of Youngman and its products.
Youngman BRT buses with uniquely fashionable designs
As it is known to all, the battery technology is now the main bottleneck for the popularization of electric vehicles. Youngman electric buses is now able to be recharged in only five minutes when put on the fast-recharging mode. When the vehicle enters and stops at the bus stations, it can be energized again for the next round of operation. Thus, the bus can more fully utilized and help bus operators cut operation costs. At night when it is put on the slow recharging mode, the bus does not need extra workers to take care of them. In the meantime, Youngman has equipped its buses with varied levels of power to meet different road conditions and power demands.
Youngman electric buses for BRT makes bus drivers very happy
Currently, Youngman JNP6123BEV, JNP6803BEV and other electric bus versions have been put into operation in a number of domestic cities. Youngman Future Star series electric buses, which are equipped with the eighth generation of Youngman monocoque body structure, places passengers" safety as their top priority. With low floor access and wider entrance & exit, Youngman buses are more efficient for passengers to get on and off the vehicles. With much large standing space for passengers and lower body weight, Youngman electric bus is able to carry 99 passengers at its maximum. In comparison, a normal 12-meter electric bus can only hold 60 passengers. When the bus is on a downward slope or when it is on the braking mode, the vehicle can recycle those unused energy with an energy recycling rate of 30%.
The recharging system of Youngman Double Source Fast-recharging electric BRT bus
Thanks to the fast recharging mode, Youngman electric bus can realize continuous operation in the daytime without any limitations for the mileage. In addition, when it needs to be recharged, bus drivers don"t even need to get off the bus. By simply pressing a button, the pantograph of the vehicle can be connected with the recharging facilities, which only cover an area of 1.5m2. Moreover, the recharging facilities can be easily built and easily integrated with surrounding environment. Each set of facilities costs 400,000 RMB. In contrast, the infrastructure for slow recharging costs as high as 200 million RMB.
To better serve its customers, Youngman provides a package of one-stop services, including bus route planning, construction of recharging facilities, pre-sale and after-sale training, repair & maintenance services, etc.
Streamlined Interior of Youngman electric bus
Since its establishment, Youngman has been working extremely hard to research, develop, and promote new energy buses. In February this year, the world"s first e-BRT bus line opened in Jinhua with 38 units Youngman Future Star buses. Starting from Zhejiang Normal University and ending at the city"s Sports Center, the BRT Line 1 is 13.8 kilometers in one way. The line starts operation at six am and ends its operation at 9:30 pm. Each bus is required to run seven round trips. Every three to five minutes, an empty bus will start operation. In total, the whole bus fleet runs about 5,500 kilometers every day and provides transportation services for over 20,000 passengers. Each bus consumes 1.27 Kilowatt•H electricity per kilometer (including air-conditioning). After eight months operation, Youngman electric bus fleet has not only helped its operator realize good economic returns, it has also won the hearts of the general public in Jinhua city.
With its uniquely fashionable design and independently developed recharging technology, Youngman Future Star series electric bus immediately made its way to the headline on various media when it first appeared in Beijing. Currently, Youngman electric buses on the BRT lines in Jinhua have long become one of the biggest highlights of the city. More importantly, they have become a pillar force in China"s drive for energy conservation and new energy bus development, making significant contributions to Green Chinese Dream.
Youngman BRT electric bus with double power sources
According to sources, Jinhua Public Transport Group purchased four 18-meter electric buses, each of which costs 2.5 million RMB and is capable of loading 150 passengers. During the rush hour, passengers often have great difficulties getting on the bus. The operation of the 18-meter electric buses are expected to greatly ease the passenger flow during the peak time thanks to their amazing loading capacity.
It is told by a technician that the 18-meter articulated electric bus has two carriages and just the hinge plate costs 200,000 RMB. According to Liu Huili, Assistant to the General Manager of Jinhua Express Public Transport Company, Jinhua city used to have 14-meter articulated buses. The 18-meter Youngman electric bus, despite its large size, only has a radius of turning circle the same as that of a 12-meter bus. After getting familiar with the new vehicle, bus drivers will soon fall in love with the eco-friendly buses.
