In 2015, a total number of 8,700 units buses made by Nanjing Golden Dragon gained number plates, with year-on-year growth of 400 percent. In the meantime, its new energy buses ranked among the top three in China. For the whole year, the bus maker realized a sales revenue of nearly 5.5 billion RMB. In just three years, Nanjing Golden Dragon has transformed itself from just an OEM enterprise to one of the leading companies in China"s bus industry. Its new energy bus production base, which covers an area of over 1,400 mu, boasts a production capacity of nearly 10,000 vehicles each year. Currently, the company has successfully entered the fast track of development.
In 2015, Nanjing Golden Dragon made several new breakthroughs. Apart from successfully becoming one of a limited number of qualified enterprises for producing whole body vehicles, it has also put its whole-body-vehicle cathode electrophoresis line, automatic welding robots and a number of other modern production facilities into operation. Thanks to this, the company"s production capacity has been strengthened significantly. In addition, the company revealed its Skywell electric bus at Shanghai International Auto Show. At Beijing Road Transportation Exhibition held in May, China"s first solar electric bus, made by Nanjing Golden Dragon made its debut to the public. In the same month, the company"s Skywell electric light bus ranked the second place in its sales among all electric light buses made in China.
From the Yangtze River Delta, to Pearl River Delta, Nanjing Golden Dragon has gradually expanded its business across the whole nation in 2015. The company"s vehicles have already been delivered to Chongli, the main venue for 2022 Winter Olympic Games. While making great efforts to strengthen its business presence, Nanjing Golden Dragon has always been attaching paramount importance to the safety and quality of its products as well as the development of new energy bus technologies. Last year, the bus maker also launched its global talent strategy, which aimed at attracting more globally-minded managerial staff and internationally competitive engineers. In the meantime, it jointly set up a laboratory with San Diego State University (SDSU) to develop batteries and electric control technologies. It has also been actively involved in building a sound new energy vehicle chain by becoming shareholders of some enterprises devoted to the development of cathode materials and controllers for vehicles. Through recruiting a number of engineers specialized in developing batteries, Nanjing Golden Dragon is fully committed to the production of its own battery pack and delivery of high-quality bus products to its customers.
