In early 2016, Zhongtong LCK6128H bus successfully passed a rollover test and various data collected after the test have all met the requirements set by ECE certification. It marks the success of Zhongtong"s first independently developed skeleton vehicle, which has won wide recognition among EU ECE certificating institute and other authoritative certification organizations from other nations.
At the beginning stage of the roll-over test at Xiangyang Testing Ground, witnessed by all engineers and testing staff from EU certification center, Zhongtong bus went through R107 rollover test. The result shows that the left angle and right angle have well surpassed the strict standards set by EU. It will provide more accurate data support for the subsequent skeleton vehicle rollover test.
Strictly in line with EU requirements, Zhongtong has made all efforts to make sure that its skeleton vehicle meets the weight standards and on this basis make sure the vehicle is able to load more passengers.
After the stowage test of EU ECE certification, Zhongtong skeleton vehicle will prepare for the rollover test. According to ECE R6 regulations, GB/T 17578-1998 and GB/T 14172-2009[8], the rollover test usually consists nine steps.
When the foams inside the vehicle experience partial deformation and the minimum gap is 110 mm, it means the vehicle part outside the living space does not invade the living space inside the vehicle. Thus, it meets ECE R66 regulations and passes the test.
Passing the rollover test has pushed Zhongtong"s bus manufacturing capacity to a new historical height. The bus maker says it will continue to strengthen its efforts to research the overseas bus regulations and make itself more prepared for its overseas expansion.
