In early March, China"s leading bus maker Zhongtong successfully secured a deal with Singapore, making a fantastic start for its new business year. It will soon provide ten units luxurious buses to its customer in the southeast Asian nation. Zhongtong luxurious buses" official entry into Singapore is set to become another growing pillar for the company"s business in the overseas market.
Soon after China"s lunar new year, Sun Qingmin, General Manager of Zhongtong Bus visited Singapore with a team. While being there, they paid visits to the country"s Ministry of Environmental Development, Ministry of Land Transport, and Singaporean Transport Association. By exchanging views and conducting fruitful conversations, the two parties have further deepened their understanding of each other. Also thanks to satisfactory performances of Zhongtong buses at the airport in Singapore, the two parties decided to strike another deal and further deepen their cooperation.
According to the bus maker, the ten units 12-meter Zhongtong luxurious buses are LCK6120G with low-access floor. With uniquely fashionable appearance and spacious interior, the vehicle has further cut its weight. Boasting high agility, it is specially designed as a public transport carrier for international metropolis and large- and medium-sized cities. Plus, equipped with imported Cummins engines and auto transmissions, LCK6120G has a cozy cockpit and makes driving much less tiresome for drivers. With superb environmental friendliness and energy efficiency, the first unit of LCK6120G will arrive in Singapore before April 15 this year. The rest nine units will all be delivered to its customer before May 15.
Since the start of 2016, Zhongtong has been actively adjusting its marketing strategies and it has further strengthened its efforts in pushing the sales of its products in the overseas market.
In early January, ten units 9-meter high-end city buses with low-floor access entered Taiwan market. In the following month, 18 units Zhongtong buses of the same type were purchased by the same customer in Taiwan. Apart from Taiwan, the bus maker has also made considerable progress in Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, etc. Its Indonesian customer has already bought over 50 units Zhongtong buses this year, ranging from BRT vehicles, city buses, and travel coaches, etc.
