In 2015, Zhongtong achieved a great success in terms of its sales and product development. Entering 2016, the bus maker has continued its fast growing momentum. Just a few days ago, it successfully secured a deal of 450 units electric buses in Shenzhen, the first major deal in China"s new energy bus market in the new year.
According to the company, it will provide 450 electric buses to its customers in Shenzhen, including 300 units Landi, 100 units Qingzhou, and 50 units Zhongtong E07. The three new energy bus models, newly released by the bus maker in less than one year, are expected to become the company"s fist products in the coming few years.
Officially debuted in November 2015, Zhongtong Qingzhou series electric bus boasts multi-functionality. Equipped with monocoque body structure and integrated rammed spare parts, the bus cuts its body weight significantly. Moreover, it generates low-level of noise and achieves high energy efficiency. Apart from being environmentally friendly, it can help its operator cut operating costs immensely. After being fully recharged, Qingzhou series electric bus is able to drive continuously for over 250 km. Its permanent magnet synchronous motor helps the vehicle achieves fast acceleration rate and powerful performance under various road conditions. On December 27, 2015, the first batch of Qingzhou electric buses successfully went off the production line. On the back of its satisfactory performance and the well-established brand image of Zhongtong, Qingzhou immediately won a deal of 2,300 units, making a big splash in the market.
In early January, 2016, Zhongtong rolled out its Landi series electric bus. With wider body structure, the bus boasts uniquely fashionable appearance and is able to drive continuously for 300 km. More impressive is that the vehicle achieves high energy efficiency and it only consumes 20 kW.h electricity for 100 km. Chiefly targeted at the high-end business market in China, the bus is also ideal for short-distance passenger transportation, public transportation, and suburban passenger transportation.
