On April 5, China"s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released its third New Energy Vehicle Recommendation Catalogue. Asiastar successfully made its way to the list, meaning it will be able to enjoy governments" new energy subsidies when customers buy its vehicles.
In the catalogue, 38 Asiastar vehicle models can be found, including 14 models of electric city buses, 11 models of plug-in hybrid city buses, 13 models of electric buses. Joylong Automobile, another brand which belongs to Asiastar, has seven models of electric buses and one model of electric city buses enter the catalogue.
Wang Xu, Director of Asiastar New Energy Department, the bus maker"s new energy city buses are chiefly divided into two types with electric and plug-in hybrid drivelines. Its electric buses are now suitable for short-distance inter-city passenger transportation.
