Recently, the fuel cell system of CRRC successfully landed on North American market. CRRC, cooperated with Canada Loop Energy Fuel Cell Company and US OEM complete vehicle manufacturer and produced a pure electric logistical trailer, which is also the first large-scale fuel- cell logistical vehicle in the world.

After CRRC TEV new energy vehicles in service for Brazil World Cup and subway products delivered to Chicago, US, this time, CRRC TEV under CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, and Loop Energy Fuel Cell Company signed an electric drive system product development agreement in US, successfully realizing the first “core” product going abroad, which is also the first time that China exports a fuel cell system product to an European/American country.

The fuel cell system provided by CRRC this time, is the core subsystem of new energy vehicles, equivalent to the engine system of traditional vehicle system. The electric drive system not only involves the integration of system mechanism, but also involves the innovation and integration of different electrical systems and circuit topology, so the technical difficulty is very high. Currently, the top 10 electric drive system suppliers in the world are basically foreign companies.

Based on its high speed rail technical experience over the decades, CRRC marches into the new energy field, and relies on whole industry chain advantage for key development. Currently, the “double wheel drive” industry development mode of new energy bus complete vehicle plus electric drive system of CRRC Electric becomes more and more mature. The signing of this agreement is also an acknowledgement of the technical strength of CRRC.

It is reported that the annual market demand for the number of pure electric infield logistics trailers in US is 4000. In California, Chicago and New York, the US governments have active subsidy policies for pure electric vehicles, and will strongly promote the widespread commercial use of pure electric infield logistics trailers.
