Its new production base project, located in Shijiazhuang in North China, officially went into construction this year. On May 10, 2016, the company, together with Shijiazhuang Municipal Government and Luancheng District jointly signed a strategic framework agreement for promoting new energy vehicles. After the completion of the project, the production base will be able to roll out 15,000 units new energy buses and other special vehicles each year.

IIn late April this year, CRRC TEV has formed New Energy Vehicle Industry Alliance with over ten enterprises in Hunan Province, aiming to strengthen the overall competitiveness of the vehicle industry in the province by restructuring their resources and complementing their strengths. In addition, CRRC TEV signed an agreement with a Canada-based Fuel Cell company-Loop Energy for jointly developing large-sized fuel cell vehicles for logistic services based on CRRC TEV’s powertrains.

Currently, the 12-meter duel-source duel-recharging electric bus made by CRRC TEV is able to drive 50 km continuously after being recharged in ten minutes. Such an impressive achievement has greatly eased the worries of many bus operators. In addition, the company’s T-Power electric driving system will soon roll out its fifth generation.
