After holding a series of low-carbon themed activities in Nanjing and Hefei, Higer officially launched Low-Carbon Dunhuang Tour on June 16, aiming to further promote the environmentally friendly and new energy vehicles in the public transportation sector in west China.
One of the biggest highlights of this tour is the Symposium on Road Passenger Transportation Management and Upgrading. Against the “new normal” which has seen the continued drop of passenger volume, bus operators’ revenue and profits, experts at the symposium unanimously agree that low-carbon operation which takes full advantage of new information technologies is the way out for traditional bus operators. They also shared views on the transition of road passenger transportation, vehicle maintenances and management.
At the symposium, Higer gave a detailed introduction of its newly upgraded Green Manager 2.0 New Energy Transportation Solutions to all participants. According to the bus maker, 20 units Higer KLQ6112HA plug-in hybrid coaches were recently delivered to Dunhuang Zhengda Transportation Company. After their arrival in the popular destination, these coaches have been immediately put into operation, providing environmentally friendly travel experiences for all tourists who come to admire the globally renowned Dunhuang grottos.
Compared with diesel-powered vehicle, Higer KLQ6112HA plug-in hybrid coach is able to cut fuel costs by over 20%. Its Green Manager 2.0 New Energy Transportation Solution has upgraded G-BOS safe driving management, fuel consumption management, long-distance trouble-shooting management, and maintenance management. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with automatic start-up and braking energy recycling technologies. Thus, it boasts much higher energy efficiency, helping bus operators cut costs significantly.
