TOANO Makes Successful Entry into EU

On June 22, China Intelligent Connected Super Truck Alliance (CICSA) was officially established in Athens, Greece. Along with the fast integration of internet into people’s daily lives, the auto industry officially entered the new era of the internet of vehicles in 2010. TOANO, an electric van, developed by Foton, successfully made its entry into European market, well demonstrating China-Greece Exchange Activities themed on Beijing Foton’s Intelligent Connected Super Trucks: Driving OBOR Construction. The eco-friendly van, was presented as a gift to Piraeus Port in Greece from Beijing Municipal Government. It will immediately put into use, acting as a green urban logistic vehicle and providing zero-emission intelligent transportation solutions for the well-renowned port in Greece. Experts say that TOANO’s entry into Europe will send seismic waves into European market and further push forward the innovations on green and intelligent transport solutions.

 


Born in Stuttgart Vehicle R&D Center in Germany, TOANO well inherits the good genes of Germany’s vehicle manufacturing traditions. Its streamlined body and awe-inspiring design speaks volume of its gracefulness. Every detail of the vehicle promises boundless travel comforts and technological ingenuity, making it an undisputable candidate for high-profile business reception. Adopting water-cooling permanent synchronous electric motor, TOANO boasts incredibly powerful performances and fast startup. Its lithium fuel cells with large storage are not only more durable, they can also help the vehicle drive 220 km continuously. According to sources, the vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 120 km/h. In terms of safety, TOANO is equipped with the ninth generation ABS, anti-dazzling interior rearview mirror, backing radar, electronic braking distribution system (EBD), safety airbags, three-points safety belt, and globally advanced intelligent braking system. Adopting high-strength body structure, TOANO has improved its rigidity by 20%.
 

 

In addition, Auman EST, the newly developed internet connected super truck, was making its appearance at the opening ceremony and ready to usher the global truck industry to a new era. TOANO and Auman EST’s entry into the EU market marks a new beginning for Foton, laying a solid foundation for the company’s further expansion in the European market. Currently, apart from TOANO, Foton has developed a wide spectrum of green vehicle products, including electric city buses, 2T/3T/5T/8T/16T electric sanitation vehicles, electric trucks and electric taxis. All equipped with powerful internet of vehicles technologies, Foton electric vehicles are set to take the global logistic and transportation market by another storm.  


For several years, the global auto industry has been undergoing tremendous changes. “Green” and “Intelligence” are now the buzzword in the field. In the face of power shortages and environmental pollutions, the world is a desperate need for seeking a more sustainable development road. It is safe to say that the global auto industry is entering a reshuffling period and electric vehicles, in particular, are edging its way into the traditional vehicle market fast. From January to May this year, China produced 132,000 units new energy vehicles and sold 126,000 units, up by 131.4% and 134.1% respectively against those in the same period last year. In the meantime, China’s production and sales volume of electric vehicles stood at 99,000 units and 92,000 units respectively, growing by a jaw-dropping 175.1% and 176.2% year on year.
