On June 28, the first Shanghai International Vehicle New Energy & Intelligence Exhibition was held at Shanghai New International Exhibition Center.

As a leading commercial vehicle brand in China, Foton AUV exhibited a whole spectrum of its new energy vehicles (business vehicles, light trucks, buses, coaches, etc.), demonstrating its formidable strengths in the emerging industry. Among them, Foton AUV BJ6116 and BJ6852 electric intercity buses, which are measuring 11-meter and 8.5-meter in length, are the two shining super stars at the exhibition. Integrating advanced technologies, high-level intelligence and green power, the two vehicles represent the future trend for new energy public transportation solutions.

As the fist products of Foton AUV in 2016, BJ6116 and BJ6852 electric intercity buses are chiefly targeted at the short-distance scheduled travel routes and commuting services for medium- and small enterprises. Equipped with battery management system (BMS), long-distance intelligence temperature control technology, e-AIR intelligent circulation system, the two vehicles are available for their customers in varied recharging modes and power storage. When put on the fast recharging mode, they can be fully recharged in 10-15 minutes. When they are in slow recharging mode, it takes 3-4 hours for them to get fully recharged.

Inheriting a number of strengths of their predecessors, Foton AUV’s new energy buses boast high safety standards, long continuous driving capacity and travel amenities.

In the first four months of this year, Foton AUV realized a sales volume of 6,838 units buses, ranking the second place in China’s bus industry. Accordingly, its market share rose to 10.30%. In March, the company’s sales grew by a jaw-dropping 258% year on year while in April it managed to grow by a whopping 148.9% with a monthly sales volume of 1,660 units buses.

In response to the fifth plenary sessions of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the exhibition was jointly organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Shanghai Branch, CCPIT Vehicle Branch, and China Vehicle Engineering Association. A total number of 300 enterprises involved in manufacturing new energy vehicles and related spare parts participated in the exhibition.
