Recently, 38 units Zhongtong Sunny buses were successfully delivered to their customers in Paraguay. At a ceremony held in the country to welcome the new bus fleet, 50 high-ranking officials from various departments in Paraguay, including the vice minister of the country’s Ministry of Transport, witnessed the historical moment for the handover of the bus keys.
Handover Ceremony
Before Zhongtong’s entry into Paraguay, almost all vehicles in its bus fleet have been working for over 15 years.Because of this, passengers’ safety was a big concern for bus operators and travel comforts were no where to be found. Zhongtong entered the country in 2013. Soon, it won the hearts of bus operators and passengers. In 2015, Zhongtong’s market share rose to 33% in the country, ranking the top place among all its rivals. After several new breakthroughs this year, its market share almost doubled in one year, standing at 60%. This has further solidified its position in the country. Currently, Zhongtong buses and coaches can be found among 23 public transportation service providers, three long-distance travel transportation service providers and a number of government organizations. Zhongtong’s quick rise to celebrity status in recent years has also attracted wide attention from both public and governmental organizations.

After achieving great commercial success in the public transportation sector in Paraguay, Zhongtong is now aiming high. At the ceremony for the delivery, Zhongtong Navigator DD double decker was making its debut, which is chiefly targeted at the long-distance passenger transportation market. With a severe shortage of railways, the majority of people in South America are usually left with no choice but to travel by bus. Due to the rising demands for more comfortable long-distance travel, the second-hand double-deckers usually imported from Chile and Brazil can no longer satisfy passengers’ needs. Against such a backdrop, Zhongtong Navigator DD double-decker is rolled out just to provide a brand new travel experience for local passengers.
