On September 1, Jinhua BRT No.1 Route was selected by China’s Ministry of Transport as one of the six demonstration windows for China’s public transportation. The BRT route has also been awarded the title as the “Most Beautiful Urban Public Transportation Route” in Jinhua city and Zhejiang Province.
Since its operation, BRT No.1 Route has brought enormous convenience for local citizens, helping ease the local traffic and reduce emissions. Working for the route is Youngman electric bus. Citizens taking the bus can enjoy free WIFI services. Each station along the route has also become a new urban landmark thanks to their posh design and advanced technological elements. In addition, the window glass of the vehicles is particularly effective in shielding the sunlight and ultraviolet rays in summer.
Jinhua Express Public Transport Co., Ltd., which is in charge of operating Youngman electric bus fleet, has been actively participating in a number of activities organized by Jinhua Public Transport Bureau, such as “The Most Beautiful Person on Bus”. Through these activities, Jinhua BRT No.1 Route has long become a household name in the city.
So far, Jinhua BRT No.1 Route has an accumulated mileage of 323 million kilometers and provided transportation services for 10.55 million passengers. The average passenger volume on the route is over 20,000, accounting for one tenth of the total passenger volume in Jinhua city. As a pioneer in China’s medium- and small-sized cities running electric buses, Jinhua has blazed a new trail in remedying urban traffic jams and urban pollutions. Moreover, it has successfully realized social and economic profits.
Without any precedent to draw experience, Jinhua BRT No.1 Route has long become a golden name card for the city. “Through our concerted efforts, our route has become the traffic artery line in Jinhua city. We are very proud of what have achieved”, says Bai Jianping, General Manager of Jinhua Express Public Transport Co., Ltd.
In addition, Jinhua BRT No.1 Route has been actively exploring new business mode, such “Internet +” and “Mobile Commercial Street”. Currently, “Jinhua Public Transport”, a micro-blog boasts 500,000 fans. Nearly 200 bus operators across China have also paid a special visit to Jinhua to draw experience from Jinhua BRT No.1 Route.
