On November 4, 30 units Golden Dragon D8, also known as XML6809JEV new energy buses, purchased by Guangzhou Transportation Group Travel Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as Guangzhou Travel Company), arrived in the city, providing green public transportation for passengers. At the delivery ceremony, Gong Jun, General Manager of Guangzhou Travel Company expressed his confidence in Golden Dragon buses.

Built on the success of Coaster, D8 is upgraded with new power driveline. Its elegantly streamlined appearance and spacious interior are especially tailored for the rising passenger flow in modern metropolitans. Thanks to the state-of-art whole-vehicle cathode electrophoresis treatment, the vehicle has pushed the bus manufacturing technologies to a new historical height in a number of fields, such as sound insulation, noise reduction, and anti-corrosiveness.

Based on the All-IN-ONE product integration concept, D8 has an electric drive system which integrates a high-torque direct-drive motor, an electrically assisted steering system, an advanced battery management system (BMS), CAN, and a comprehensive intelligent safety supervision and management system. Fully in line with sustainable development standards for modern cities, the vehicle is highly competent to meet the heavy transportation tasks, successfully solving bus operators’ pressing concerns for its recharging and continous driving distances.

On April 15 this year, Golden Dragon held a press conference in Guangzhou, releasing its newly developed electric buses and hybrid buses. On September 12, Golden Dragon was awarded the honorary title for the Most Trustworthy Busines Partner by Guangdong Provincial Urban Public Transport Association.

According to government’s plan, the percentage of new energy buses and electric buses will exceed 75% and 65% by 2020 in Guangdong province.
