On February 15, Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as Zhongtong) and China Optimum New Energy Vehicle Industrial Alliance signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Li Yao, Director of Optimum Innovation Alliance and president of Optimum Group, Li Jinlin, Chairman of Optimum Group, Sun Qingmin, General Manager of Zhongtong, Tun Jinjun, president of Liaocheng Zhongtong Light-duty Bus Co., Ltd. According to the agreement, the two parties will carry out comprehensive cooperation in technology development, product development and marketing. In the field of technologies, on the back of the strengths of Zhongtong in new energy bus manufacturing and Optimum Innovation Alliance in power systems, the two parties will focus on developing battery systems, motor systems and electric controls, as well as whole vehicle design. They will jointly roll out electric buses, electric light-duty trucks for logistic services, etc. In 2017, the two companies is planning to market 23,000 units new energy vehicles in China.
At the signing ceremony, Zhongtong speaks highly of Optimum’s impressive achievements in new materials, new technologies and new production methods and hopes to further deepen the cooperative ties with Optimum. Li Yao, Director of Optimum Innovation Alliance also expressed the company’s commitment to working with Zhongtong to push forward the sound and sustainable development of China’s new energy vehicle industry.
