In August, 2016, right before the Rio Olympic Games, Brazilian Post Service and DHL bought five units electric logistic vehicles from BYD Brazil. These vehicles were later put into service for transporting some sporting facilities and sportswear to various stadiums.
Apart from electric logistic vehicles, BYD Brazil has been chiefly focusing on marketing electric buses.
In October, 2014, Li Tie led his team to explore Brazilian market. After learning that Sao Paolo municipal government was planning to replace all fossil-fueled buses in the city before 2018, Li took immediate actions to introduce BYD electric buses to the city. Thanks to the hard work of Li’s team, BYD Brazil has sold 200 units electric buses. In the meantime, the company has been seeing tremendous expansion.
