On March 22, it was announced that the project which focusing on development of lithium titanate battery and power storage systems won the first prize of China Electric Power Research Institute. With lower costs and new technological breakthroughs, the project was jointly developed by Zhuhai Yinlong New Energy, China Electric Research Institute, Institute of Physics attached to Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
Given the randomness, fluctuation and intermittent characteristics of wind power and photovoltaic power, the project has made some substantial breakthroughs in developing lithium titanate batteries, various types of power storage systems, wind power and photovoltaic power plant development.
In the project, Yinlong New Energy is chiefly responsible for developing low-cost materials used for lithium titanate batteries and lithium titanate batteries for power storage as well as producing lithium titanate batteries for 1MW storage power systems. In addition, it has been cooperating with China Electric Research Institute at Zhangbei Power Storage Experiment Base to install 1MW power storage systems and conduct related adjustment and maintenance work.
With state-of-art facilities, Zhuhai Yinlong New Energy has successfully developed lithium titanate batteries and power storage systems which boast long life expectancies, high safety standards, and low costs, laying a solid foundation for the future development of new energy industry and ushering a new stage for the power storage industry.
