On May 3, the construction of Lanzhou Guangtong New Energy Vehicle Production Base owned by Zhuhai Yinlong officially kicked off at Lanzhou New Area Petrochemical Park. With a total investment of four billion RMB, the production base will be able to produce a variety of new energy vehicles, including electric business vehicles, SUVs, logistic vehicles, sanitation vehicles, engineering vehicles, and vehicles for special purposes.

Covering an area of 1,000 mu, Lanzhou Guangtong New Energy Vehicle Production Base will be built in three phases. The first phase covers an area of 672 mu. After its completion in May next year, it will be able to roll out 3,000 units new energy buses each year. The second phase covers an area of 230 mu and it is mainly specialized in producing batteries. The third phase of construction will chiefly focus on the business expansion of the first phase and the second phase.

With an annual production volume of 100,000 units, the production base is expected to realize an annual business income of 30 billion RMB. In addition, it is aiming to expand its business from manufacturing new energy vehicles to the research and development of power batteries and energy storage stations in the next three to five years. Then, its annual business revenue is expected to rise to about 50 billion RMB.

Having risen to the stardom in China’s new energy vehicle industry in a very short period of time, Zhuhai Yinlong has independently developed globally advanced lithium titanate batteries, the key parts for the new energy vehicles. Moreover, the company boasts full capacity of building new energy vehicles and related spare parts. In 2016, Yinlong sold over 6,200 units electric buses. Nowadays, the brand has successfully made its way to over 40 cities across China with its market share near 8%. Thanks to its fast rise in the new energy vehicle industry, Yinlong has been recognized as 2017 Most Influential Enterprise in China’s Energy Storage Industry and 2017 Best Battery Supplier in China’s Energy Storage Industry.
