At a press conference which was themed with “Green Revolution, A New Future for Urban Logistics” and which officially announced CRRC Times Electric’s cooperation with Chuanhua Yihuodi and Dongfeng Automobile, Liu Ling spoke with our reporter about his views on the constantly evolving technologies developed by CRRC Times Electric for new energy vehicles.
According to Liu, the electric vehicles have also brought electronic platforms, which have led to the information era and intelligent era of new energy vehicles. “Yunzhitong” is the latest achievement of CRRC Time Electric. Capable of self learning and self diagnosis, Yunzhitong is the very brain of new energy vehicles. While in operation, it provides real-time information about BMS, electric motors, controllers, batteries. In addition, after a quick analysis, it will give feedback and take preventive measures accordingly. In doing so, it can greatly help vehicles deal with potential problems and greatly improve the safety standards of the vehicles.
Globally, new energy buses are still in their infant stage when it comes to intelligent driving. CRRC Times Electric has successfully made buses more intelligent by incorporating state-of-art rail transport technologies into bus manufacturing industry. With virtual rails, its new energy buses are designed to drive on the predetermined routes. Through power supply systems, signal systems, station systems, and control centers, bus operators can manage their vehicles more efficiently. In the near future, CRRC Times Electric will roll out comprehensive and sustainable transport solutions to help cities solve their pressing problems.
Fifteen years ago, CRRC Times Electric started developing power systems for new energy vehicles. So far, its fifth generation power system TP5 with highly integrated automotive controls has been widely used on new energy vehicles. According to Liu, TP5 has integrated eight key spare parts of new energy vehicles into one package, which weighs only 35 kilograms and is 0.05 cubic meters in size.
When asked about CRRC Times Electric’s cooperation with Chuanhua Yihuodi and Dongfeng Automobile, Liu says their cooperation is only a nature move in an era of “internet +”. From one-to-one mode to the current shared economy, the three companies aim to innovate business mode and realize shared operation of new energy vehicle rental business, vehicle operation and recharging facilities.
