Recently, a total number of 1,000 units Foton AUV clean-energy buses went off the production line, ready for their operation in Yangon, the capital of Myanmar. With a favorable geographic location, Myanmar is key outpost which bridges China with Southeast Asia, South Asia and the rest of the world. The delivery of 1,000 units Foton AUV clean-energy buses not only shows the bus maker’s commitment to expand its presence in the overseas market, but it also well demonstrates China’s formidable competitiveness in the world’s bus manufacturing industry.
In an era of globalization, “going out” has long become the consensus of many enterprises in China. Among them, Foton AUV has a wide spectrum of bus products available and provides safer, greener and more reliable passenger transport solutions for its global customers. Revolving around energy conservation, emission reduction and high efficiency, the bus maker is now making relentless efforts in developing new energy vehicles, internet of vehicles, and automatic driving technologies. Currently, its city buses, intercity coaches and school buses are available with a variety of power solutions.
In some emerging markets, such as Indonesia and Kenya, Foton AUV is not satisfied with just providing its customers with bus products. Moreover, it has rolled a host of solutions for building integrated public transport systems, dealing with urban congestion and air pollution. In some other countries with cutthroat competition, such as Saudi Arabia, Georgia and Myanmar, Foton AUV takes a different approach and focus on building its marketing and after-sales networks. In North America and Europe, it has already set up its own production base and its overseas operation centers. So far, the bus maker has realized miraculous growth in a number of overseas markets.
The news came along at the moment when The Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation is ready to kick off in Beijing on May 14 and 15. This year, the forum is themed with "strengthening international cooperation and co-building the 'Belt and Road' for win-win development". Chinese President, Xi Jinping, together with Secretary General of the UN, Governor of World Bank, President of IMF, and the heads of nearly 30 countries will gather in Beijing and discuss pressing issues on infrastructure construction, industrial investments, economic and trade cooperation, energy and resource development, financial cooperation, cultural exchange, environmental protection and marine cooperation.
Since ancient times, the silk road has been playing an essential role in connecting China with the rest of the world and promoting trade and cultural exchange among a number of countries. The launch of One Belt One Road Initiative a few years ago has brought unprecedented opportunities for many countries in the 21st century.
