On May 14, Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister and President-elect of Serbia who was attending the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, met with Huang Shuping, General Manager of HIGER and Jiang Haifeng, Deputy General Manager of HIGER Overseas Sales Company in Beijing. Sinisa Mali, Mayor of Belgrade and Li Manchang, Chinese Ambassador to Serbia attended the meeting.
Huang briefed Vucic on the operation of five HIGER super-capacitor buses in Belgrade, with emphasis on HIGER's advantages in safety, environmental protection and energy conservation. Vucic spoke highly of HIGER and invited HIGER to join the future bid.
Aiming at Vucic's concern about product localization, Huang introduced the progress and plan of HIGER's KD cooperation in Serbia. Under the "Belt and Road" initiative, HIGER will build the Serbian partner into its manufacturing base in Serbia as well as Central and Eastern Europe, and improve the products localization rate while achieve sales growth, contribute to local employment and economic development. Vucic highly recognized and welcomed HIGER's plan, saying that Serbia will strive to provide convenience and create favorable conditions for the implementation of the plan.
