From May 14 to 16, 2017 China Automobile Forum was held in Shanghai. Hosted by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), this year’s forum is themed with “Driving Innovation, Upgrading Brand---New Trends in China’s Automobile Industry”. Also known as the “Davos Forum” in China’s automobile industry, this year’s forum has attracted top leaders of many internationally famed auto makers and government officials and auto experts.
Wei Yincang, president of Yinlong, delivered a speech
Wei Yincang, president of Yinlong attended 2017 Fuel Cell Vehicle Development Summit and delivered a speech on Yinlong Titanium Hydrogen Technologies and Their Applications, introducing the company’s hydrogen-titanium power drive line. Also at the forum, Yinlong electric tour bus and business vehicle were put on display.
Along with the depleting resources on the earth, new energy vehicles are pointing the way for the future development of the auto industry. Nowadays, people favor planes and bullet trains for long-distance travel thanks to the fast speed and convenience. Statistics also show that 90% vehicles in China’s urban areas drive less than 50 kilometers every day. Against such a backdrop, new energy vehicles cannot afford to just increase their continuous driving distances. Instead, differentiated solutions should be made available to suit the special needs of customers. Lithium titanate batteries, which have been independently developed by Yinlong, achieve high safety standards and energy efficiency and boast long lifespans. In addition, they are fully functional in a wide temperature range and can be recharged and discharged in a short period of time. Given above, they are far more superior to those fossil fuel powered internal combustion engines.
2017 Fuel Cell Vehicle Development Summit
According to Wei Yincang, new energy vehicles must also strike a balance among their safety standards, environmental adaptability and convenience so as to meet the varied needs of the market. While developing new energy vehicles, recharging time, life expectancy, safety standards, ability to withstand wide temperature range, energy density and power density must all be taken into consideration. On the basis of its lithium titanate batteries, Yinlong developed lithium iron titanate batteries, multi-element composite lithium batteries, hydrogen-titanium power systems. Its hydrogen-titanium power systems are set to become the energy sources for fuel cell vehicles.
Taking full advantage of lithium titanate batteries and fuel cell batteries, Yinlong hydrogen-titanium power system achieves much higher power density, demonstrating far superiority to other power systems for vehicles. In addition, it is economically viable for customers.
Wei Yincang revealed that the company’s production base in Tianjin would start operation at the end of this year. Thus, its hydrogen-titanium power systems will realize mass production and be put on trucks, buses and passenger vehicles for commercial operation.
