Golden Dragon Buses Exported to Myanmar
Having long recognized internationalization as one of its key development strategies, Golden Dragon is aiming to up its exports to over 25% of its overall sales. Confident and determined, the bus maker is fully aware of all those challenges that lie ahead and believes that its high craftsmanship and attentiveness to its customers will usher its way on the international stage.
Jiang Yonghui, Director of Golden Dragon Overseas Marketing Department, says that China’s launch of Belt Road Initiative a few yeas ago has given a tremendous boost to the infrastructure construction in many countries and thus created a huge demand for commercial vehicles.
Golden Dragon Double-Deckers in Mauritius
Since 2003, Golden Dragon’s export volume has already broken the 50,000 unit threshold. From 2010 to 2016 alone, it exported about 30,000 units buses to 20-plus countries involved, showing a fast growing momentum.
Well known for its pioneering spirit in innovation, Israel warmly welcomes China’s One Belt and One Road Initiative. In recent years, it has been carrying out cooperative programs with China in various areas, such as high technologies, energy and travel industries. With harsh climate conditions, the country is extremely picky when it comes to choosing buses working on its roads.
Golden Dragon BRT in Tanzania
In 2011, Golden Dragon started cooperation with a local distributor in Israel. In just a few years, the country has seen a fast rising number of Golden Dragon buses working smoothly on its streets. In fact, the bus maker exported its 50,000th unit bus to the country. In June, 2016, Golden Dragon held a press conference in Tel Aviv and released seven bus models to its Israeli customers. Jiang Yonghui revealed that DAN, the second largest bus operator in Israel, used to operate MAN and Benz buses from Europe, but it switched to Golden Dragon’s buses in recent years, which fully meet Euro VI emission standards. As to the end of 2016, the number of Golden Dragon city buses with Euro VI emission standards had reached 420 units.

High standards and harsh requirements from those customers in the high-end bus market have also fueled Golden Dragon’s innovations and boosted its growth. Take the doors for the luggage cabin for example. In the past, two doors were usually the norm. However, European customers just wanted one. Undeterred, Golden Dragon overcame a lot of technical challenges and presented its customers the buses just the way they wanted.

Nowadays, Golden Dragon whole aluminum electric buses jointly built Netherlands-based EBUSCO, its double-deckers in Mauritius, its Triumph coaches in an array of colors in Myanmar, its light buses in Egypt, and its city buses in Syria, are all working smoothly and providing unprecedented convenience for local citizens.
