On May 23, New Energy Bus Demonstration Forum themed with “My City, My Bus” was held in Beijing. Organized by China’s Ministry of Transport (MOT) and hosted by China Transport News Agency, the selection of new energy bus demonstration routes was officially launched in July, 2016, attracting 157 bus operators and 311 new energy bus routes.
After the initial screening, all the competing bus routes went through field investigation, media review, public notification, and assessments from a panel of picky judges. In the end, only ten new energy bus routes stood out. Ankai was awarded New Energy Bus of Excellence by MOT.
