On June 22, the 14th World Brand Conference, which was organized by the World Brand Lab, was held in Beijing. At the conference, Top 500 Most Valuable Brands 2017 was officially revealed to the public. According to the report, Zhongtong edged its way to the Top 500 Most Valuable Brands in China with a total brand value of 5.103 billion RMB. For three consecutive years, Zhongtong has made its way on the list. Currently, it enjoys a solid position in China’s automobile industry.

Focusing on manufacturing high-quality and environmentally friendly buses and coaches, Zhongtong has always been attaching paramount importance to cultivating its corporate culture and enhancing its brand image. As early as 2004, Zhongtong started pursuing a green development road, taking the lead in the new era of energy conservation and environmental protection. From 2007 to 2008, Zhongtong built three innovation platforms, including a state certified lab, a state-certified technological center and a post-doctoral work station. Through independent technological development, cooperation with research institutions and introduction of state-of-art technologies, it has been making great efforts in popularizing new energy vehicles. Since 2006, it has developed various types of hybrid buses and electric buses. In 2015, a host of key spare parts, the electromechanical coupling systems, and power batteries, all of which are developed by Zhongtong, went into mass production. On the back of its formidable R&D strengths, Zhongtong was recognized as A Key Hi-tech Enterprise in National Torch Plan by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2014, Zhongtong carried out a number of measures to optimize the layout of its new energy bus production base and improve its production procedures. In 2008, it was designated as the official carrier for Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee, serving athletes and officials from all over the world. In 2009, Zhongtong new energy buses served at the 11th National Games of the People’s Republic of China. In May 2010, Zhongtong officially launched a brand promotion campaign focusing on promoting energy efficient and new energy buses. In 2012, Zhongtong held a competition awarding the Most Energy Efficient Vehicle. In July, 2013, Zhongtong built China’s first gas-fueled bus platform. In August, 2014, Zhongtong delivered 2,186 units buses to Saudi Arabia. In May 2015, Zhongtong released Electric Bus 5+3 Operation Mode. In May 2016, Zhongtong delivered its 20,oooth new energy bus to a customer in Beijing. In March 2017, Zhongtong officially revealed its hydrogen fuel cell buses, further solidifying its leading position in China’s new energy bus industry.
