On August 29, Ankai successfully secured a major order of 400 units new energy buses worth a total value of 530 million RMB.
On August 25, Ankai made an announcement that it had signed a sales contract with Hefei Public Transport Group. According to the contract, it will deliver 400 units buses to the bus operator, including 160 clean energy buses, 240 units electric buses.
It is also revealed that the 160 units Ankai clean energy buses will hit the road in Hefei by September 30 this year. The rest 240 units electric buses will all be delivered to the hands of the bus operator by November 30 this year.
As a major customer of Ankai, Hefei Public Transport Group bought Ankai buses with a total value of 454,702,400 RMB in 2014, which accounted for 9.40% of the company’s overall sales revenue in that year. In 2014, the company spent 387,658,100 RMB on Ankai buses, taking up 9.64% of the bus maker’s annual sales revenue. In 2016, the amount reached 345,410,300 RMB, making up 7.26% of Ankai’s sales revenue last year.
