Recently, Zhongtong successfully won the bid for exporting 80 units buses to Mozambique as a part of China’s Overseas Aids Program. This will also be the largest batch of buses arriving in Mozambique. Sources say the 80 units 12-meter Zhongtong buses will be delivered to their customers in Mozambique at the end of September this year.

The vehicle to arrive in Mozambique is Zhongtong LCK6125DG-NG. Having taken the local transport market, weather conditions and cultural environment into full consideration, the vehicle is set to win the local customers and passengers.

So far, the vehicle has already made its way to Zimbabwe and Nigeria, gaining wide recognition in these African countries.

Zhongtong entered Mozambique in 2011. Currently, Zhongtong LCK6120A, LCK6125A, LCK6128DA can be easily spotted in the country. Its travel coaches even take up over 70% of the local tourist transport market.

In the past, the public transport market in Mozambique was dominated by Volkswagon from Germany and Tata from India. Due to the high prices of European bus brands and the unsatisfying performances of brands from other countries, local bus operators have been seeking highly reliable and price competitive bus products.

Zhongtong started its overseas business in 2003. In less than two decades, it has set up a visible presence in over 30 countries in Africa with an overall market share of 20% in Africa.
