Organized by China’s Ministry of Transport, 2017 Quality Discovery Tour was hosted by Foton Motor Group, Foton AUV Bus Business Department, and China Transport News. After visiting Beijing, Northeast China and South China, the Tour arrived in Chongqing on November 30. Through holding in-depth exchanges on quality improvement and various other activities, the tour aims to further promote the transition and transformation of the bus manufacturing industry.
In Chongqing, Foton AUV shared with other participants about its new energy vehicle development and its future plans of developing fuel cells. In addition, Foton AUV new energy buses were available to offer all participants green travel experience.
Also in Chongqing, Foton AUV signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Fuel Cell Bus Promotion with Changshou Economic Development Zone, ushering a new era for Chongqing and Southwest China in motor making history. Insiders believe that the move made by the two parties will bring enormous benefits to the local economy and mark a new milestone in China’s auto industry.
In the face of the decrease of passenger flows in the passenger transport market, a new round of quality upgrading is urgently needed, according to Wang Qi, Deputy Director of Chongqing Road Transport Administrative Bureau. Against such a backdrop, transport service providers must take immediate measures to well position themselves in the market and provide passenger-oriented services.
“Quality was and still is the key to success for all bus operators”, said Chen Lin, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of China Transport News.

Further coordinating the development of new energy vehicles and intelligent vehicles, Foton AUV is blazing a new trail to bring revolutionary changes to China’s urban public transport.
In 2016, Foton AUV, together with a number of well-renowned enterprises, including Pride Power, CALB, Lishen Power Battery, Suzhou Lvkon, Jingjin Electric, Aipu China, Huachuang attached to Beijing Institute of Technology, Foton Cummins, Songz Automotive Air Conditioning, CITIC Guoan MGL formed China Bus Green Development Alliance, which gives new impetus to the upgrading and transformation of China’s bus manufacturing industry.
