On August 23, BYD signed a sales agreement with London-based Metroline in London for providing 37 units Enviro400EV electric double-decker buses. According to BYD, all the new buses will be delivered to their customer in the second quarter of 2019.
“The operation of the 37 BYD Enviro400EV electric double-decker buses will join our environmentally friendly bus fleet in combating air pollution in London,” said Jaspal Singh, CEO of Metroline.
“The deal signed with Metroline further strengthens BYD’s leading position in London’s new energy bus market,” said He Yipeng, General Manager of BYD Europe Co., Ltd.
Jointly developed by BYD and ADL, Enviro400EV measures 10.9 meters in length. Equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries, the vehicle is able to operate smoothly for a whole day after being recharged at night.

In October, 2015, BYD electric double-decker buses were put into operation on No.98 bus route in London. So far, these buses have been working smoothly for 160,000 kilometers, helping the city cut the emissions by 140 tons.()
