Independently developed by CRRC, the electric driving system, T Power fully epitomizes the latest technological breakthrough for the company dedicated to developing and marketing highly competitive electric driving systems for new energy commercial vehicles.
According to CRRC, T Power consists of three major parts, namely the electric controller, the driving motor and the batteries. Featuring impressive performances, high reliability and high safety standards, it is set to further improve the overall efficiency of new energy vehicles.
It is revealed the first generation T Power was actually used on some electric buses during Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. Since then, CRRC has entered a new stage of fast development. Its fourth generation T Power, successfully lost weight by 30% and thus cut its energy consumption by half.
The latest generation T Power has already won iF and Red Dot awards, two most distinguished awards for product design in the world. Moreover, it has reached IP68 protection level, making it more versatile in more demanding working conditions.
The biggest highlight of T Power is its control assembly. Weighing less than 35 kg, it has a more compact structure and is only half the size of its counterparts. Thanks to its smaller size and lower weight, the control assembly can be easily installed and dismounted. Moreover, it helps vehicles deliver more powerful performances.
The magnetic synchronous and direct driving system on T Power achieves higher efficiency and generates less noise. Thus, it helps vehicles provide more comfortable travel experiences for both drivers and passengers.
At IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018 recently held in Hanover, CRRC brought its new generation electric bus equipped with T Power on display. “The new bus delivers more powerful and smooth performances,” said Wang Wei, Deputy General Manager of CRRC. Thanks to its duel power, the bus is still able to work smoothly when one power fails. “It is highly innovative,” said Guo Shuying, an electric vehicle expert.()
