Recently, CRRC developed "Cloud System" Vehicle Intelligent Management Platform , an application that is based on big data and internet of things. Consisting of SAM/MES, after-sales service system, public transport platform, etc., the application has further integrated humans, vehicles and internet in the whole process of vehicle management.
Currently, the "Cloud System" oversees 20,000-plus units buses with a storage of data reaching 150 TB and it provides services for over 100 customers across China. According to CRRC, the "Cloud System" has been expanding both in its storage capacity and management capacity.
Developed as a platform to manage new energy vehicles, the "Cloud System" fully meets the safety requirements set by China for new energy vehicles and in the meantime it is able to provides a whole range of tailor-made services upon customers special requirements.
By opening an account on the "Cloud System" , customers and bus operators are able to determine the exact locations of their vehicles at anytime. They can also access to such information as the energy consumption, mileage, acceleration, deceleration of the vehicles and drivers’ driving behaviors.
Through analyzing all the data collected during the operation, the "Cloud System" is also able to determine a vehicle’s operation status and give warning by sending text messages to customers and after-sales engineers before troubles occur. Drivers can also quickly check how much energy is still left on the vehicle, how long it still can drive and how much time it will take to get recharged.
