In late 2017, two electric buses made by CRRC were handed over to their customer in Belarus. In January this year, the two vehicles officially started operation. As of the end of August, the two vehicles had reached a combined mileage of almost 50,000 kilometers. Having been working smoothly with an average daily mileage of 280 kilometers, both buses have stood the test of time and successfully won the heart of the bus operator and local residents.

Statistics released by the bus operator in Belarus show that CRRC electric bus is able to drive 140 km in winter after being fully recharged and 180 km in summer. It consumes 1.06 kWh electricity per kilometer, helping the bus operator cut their operating costs by 25,000 RMB so far.

The electricity recycling system mounted on CRRC electric bus is particularly effective in energy utilization.

“I feel extremely comfortable when I take the (CRRC) bus,” said one passenger from Belarus, who has long fallen in love with the greener travel experience.

“We are extremely pleased with our purchase,” said the General Manager of the bus operator in Belarus.

Having fully considered the local weather and operation conditions, CRRC has made a number of adjustments while developing the electric bus. For example, the vehicle has an independent heating system and an optimized heating program for its recharging batteries. In addition, the paints and adhesives used on the vehicle has gone through a special temperature test, ensuring the vehicle is able to endure temperatures ranging from -50℃ to 80℃.

Thanks to the use of light-weight materials and a monocoque body structure, CRRC electric bus has successfully lost one ton in weight and thus can drive continuously for an even longer distance.

With three doors, CRRC electric bus has further facilitated boarding for passengers. Each seat has an USB portal for recharging cell phones for passengers. Those physically challenged passengers can easily board the bus by a special ramp and enjoy a special rest area.()
