According to the latest statistics, China’s bus purchases totaled 3.576 billion RMB in the first half of 2019, up by 28.63% year on year.

From January to June, the total value of bus purchases reached 159 million RMB, 12 million RMB, 503 million RMB, 1.547 billion RMB, 791 million RMB, 564 million RMB respectively.

According to statistics in the past few years, the bus purchases mainly occurred from May to August every year. In addition, new energy buses have been growing fast in popularity in China in recent years, fully demonstrating the nation’s determination to combat environmental pollution.

18 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities bought buses in the first half of this year. Shanghai, Fujian, Shandong, Hubei and Jiangsu made the biggest purchases while Guizhou, Sichuan and Tibet Autonomous Region showed keen interest in new energy buses.

Zhengzhou Public Transport Co., Ltd. made the biggest purchase in the first half of this year, placing its order on Zhengzhou Yutong with a total value of 1.29366 billion RMB. The company bought 1,000 units buses, including 100 units 8-meter electric buses, 400 units 10-meter electric buses, 400 units 12-meter electric low-floor access buses, 50 units 12-meter electric double-deckers and 50 units 12-meter duel power trolley buses.

Shanghai Pudong New Area Public Transport Co., Ltd. made the second largest purchase, buying 168 units elecrtric buses with a total value of 437 million RMB from Sunlong.
