King Long Releases Newly Upgraded Kingo in Malaysia

On July 19, King Long, together with R&A, its exclusive distributor in Malaysia, revealed its newly upgraded Kingo with higher safety standards, more travel comforts and the latest technologies at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Equipped with LED lamps and a more attractive design, the new vehicle can not only be used for passenger transportation services, but also express delivery services, etc.

At the press conference, eight King Long light buses measuring from 5.4 meters to 6 meters in length were put on display. They can be used for ambulance services, school kids transportation, and cargo transportation, etc. They are set to inject new dynamics to the local transportation market. Simon Xie, Director of King Long Overseas Marketing, together with a number of major customers and journalists in Malaysia witnessed the historical moment.

R&A, is a subsidiary of Signode Group, which has been cooperating with King Long for a decade. This year, the two parties jointly launched the upgraded Kingo to mark a new milestone for their cooperation. So far, over 1,800 units King Long light buses have been put into service in Malaysia. They are now playing a pivotal role in the local transportation market.

“We will continue to deepen our cooperation with King Long and introduce greener vehicles to Malaysian market,” said a personnel in charge from Signode Group.

“We attach great importance to cooperating with China in the bus manufacturing sector. King Long’s new production base in Malaysia will soon start operation, producing more environmentally friendly buses for Malaysian market,” said Wang Jianmin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Malaysia.
