On November 5, a King Long fuel cell bus officially started operation on bus route No.616 in Fuzhou, marking a new milestone in Fujian province’s promotion of greener public transportation networks. On the very first day of its operation, many citizens came to experience the greener and more convenient public transportation services.
Bus route No. 616 starts from Xiangzhou station and ends at Dong’an Station with a total distance of 15 km. Each day, King Long fuel cell bus runs about 200 km.
According to King Long, the vehicle put into service is XMQ6850AGFCEV, the second generation fuel cell bus developed by the bus maker. Having 14 kg hydrogen stored under a pressure of 35 MPa, the bus is able to drive 580 km continuously. For every 100 km, it consumes only 4.2 kg hydrogen. In addition, it can be refilled in just 10-15 minutes.
Equipped with ECO-Chip 3.0 new energy management system, King Long fuel cell bus achieves the highest safety standards. In thunderous weather or other extreme weathers, the vehicle will be powered by electricity to ensure its safe operation.
At the 17th China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair (CSTF) held in June this year, XMQ6850AGFCEV was put into service.
